A blocked cat, an emergency visit, and a sentence we’ve heard from a lot of owners since: “he just never really drank much.”
That’s not neglect. It’s biology. Cats descend from desert animals and carry a thirst drive built for a world where they got their water from prey, not a bowl. Give a cat dry food and a dish of still water and it will very often run a quiet, chronic fluid deficit for years — until something gives.
The fix is unglamorous: make water moving, cold, clean, and impossible to ignore. Cats drink more from running water. That’s the whole thesis.
What we care about
- Steel, not plastic. Plastic fountains scratch, and scratches hold bacteria — the usual suspect behind feline chin acne. We only build in 304 stainless.
- Quiet enough to ignore. A fountain that hums gets unplugged. One that doesn’t, gets used.
- Refills you can actually get. Most fountains die because nobody can find a filter for them. Ours are always in stock, and we’ll remind you.
We sell one fountain and the parts that keep it running. That’s it. We’d rather do one thing properly.
